| Effective reporting on the extractive sector requires in-depth knowledge and experiences. It is in line with this that some selected journalists from Tanzania, Ghana and Uganda with interest in extractive sector reporting have assembled in Dar Es Salaam for a two-week media training on the extractives, under the auspices of the Natural Resource Governance Institute. Days into the training, it is becoming clear to participants on the striking limitations and differences in laws and fiscal policy regulations on natural resources governance among mineral-rich African countries. Some participating journalists highlighted areas of policy lessons countries can learn.' |
